Gamo Precision Air Rifle, Hunter 440, .177 Caliber, Blued Barrel,
Beechwood Stock, Fiber Optic Sights, BSA 4x32 Scope
The HUNTER 440 is a man-sized barrel-cocker that is very popular for
field use and small-game hunting. The receiver features a raised scope
ramp to better accommodate the biggest airgun scopes. The 440 also
comes as a combination package with a BSA 4x32mm airgun scope. A great
air rifle if you want razor-sharp precision, dependability, and high
power.

Gamo 44 Hunter .177 Air Rifle

Rating:
Well made, excellent craftsmanship, good value for the money. Nice piece of wood used for the Monte Carlo type stock. Good, crisp trigger. Highly accurate both with a BSA scope and with the adjustable iron sights. I especially liked using it to shoot metallic silhouettes. Also deadly on chipmunks and other pests around the house.
Only drawback is that I chronographed it when I first got it and never came close to the advertised 1000 fps muzzle velocity with a lead pellet. Best I could get was 750 fps which disappointed me. Still has good penetration power.
