Glock Triggers & Accessories

To a competitive shooter, having the right trigger is crucial. Here’s why. There are certain variables that come into play. A lighter trigger with minimized reset is desirable for quicker follow up shots. If you shoot competitively, you’re probably familiar with the concept of “riding the link”, where you want to keep your trigger as close as possible to the striker break, instead of letting it ride all the way forward after it resets. This comes in handy for quick follow up shots. Like if you’re shooting pins and you knock one down and it doesn’t fall off the table, you follow it up with a quick second shot to knock it off. Among semi-auto pistols, Glock is known for having a minimal reset distance, but there Glock Trigger
is some overtravel, which is the distance the trigger travels to the rear after the pistol fires. Reset is the distance forward the trigger must go after you’ve fired a shot until the trigger engages the sear again for the next shot. In competitive shooting, you want to minimize the overtravel (i.e. unnecessary movement), and quicken the reset for faster follow up shots.
