The Glock extended slide release is one of the most liked and widely used of all the extended controls available. This is because the stock slide release on a Glock pistol is relatively small, and shooters with smaller hands often have to cant the pistol to the side in order to operate the slide release with their thumb.

| The slide release is only 3mm longer than the stock slide release, which isn’t enough to snag on your clothes or when drawing the pistol from a holster, but it makes a huge difference when releasing the slide, especially if your hands are sweaty, or if you’re wearing gloves. |
