Extend the life of your weapon by installing a Sprinco Recoil Management Guide Rod System. A secondary, or sub-spring assembly is incorporated onto a full length, heat treated, stainless steel guide rod to cushion the slide to frame impact!
Sprinco USA Recoil Reducers make a significant difference by managing peak recoil forces within the handgun, which can exceed 1500 ft lbs. at impact! By decelerating the rearward slide velocity with the secondary spring just prior to impact, the Sprinco System reduces these forces by 500 - 750 ft lbs. The graduated sub-spring is engineered and critically positioned in each model, to ensure normal cycling and reliability. This is an effective, no frills, no gimmick approach to recoil management.
Installation is as easy as installing your stock guide rod system. No firearm modification is necessary to enjoy significant reductions in muzzle flip and perceived (felt) recoil. The system improves your shooting allowing faster follow up shots, faster sight recovery, and improved control of your rapid fire shot strings. While you may not be bothered by the recoil of your gun, expert as well as novice shooters benefit from faster target acquisition and lowered split times. |

NOTE: The Springco COR-BON model utilizes a stronger subspring in order to compensate for hot, +P and +P+ loads. A shooter should only use a COR-BON recoil reducer if he/she intends to exclusively shoot +P or +P+ ammo. The .40 Super, .45 Super, .400 COR-BON, and full house 10mm loads would also fit into this category. While the standard model Recoil Reducer will function flawlessly using hot ammo, the vice versa is not always true. Regular, factory loads will not always cycle the Springco COR-BON model Recoil Reducer, and you may have function problems. Keep in mind that the standard system will noticeably reduce recoil and muzzle flip when using hot ammo, but is not as effectively as the Springco COR-BON model would be. In summary, if you are going to be shooting a wide range of power factor loads, order the standard system. If you are shooting hand cannon loads EXCLUSIVELY, then go with the Springco COR-BON system. |

THE Guide Rods
T.H.E. is an American company specializing in after-market Glock extended controls, magazine

extensions, guide rods and springs, and grip plugs. T.H.E. products are well known in Glock circles, and are made well. It used to be that, among American products, you would see evidence that the companies were clearly competing to make their product better than the next company. Today, it seems they compete only to make products more cheaply, which is why we find ourselves inundated with cheap plastic products from China. This is not the mentality at T.H.E. Products by T.H.E. are well thought out, and well

| made. The goal is still to make a product that is better than the next company. T.H.E. accessories will last as long as your gun. |
 |
The guide rods and springs from T.H.E. are this mentality incarnate. The guide rods are available in stainless steel or tungsten, and cannot be broken by lateral force, like the factory polymer guide rods can be.
If you shoot your Glock pistol on a regular basis, please consider upgrading it with some T.H.E. guide rods.

WHY REPLACE MY STOCK GUIDE ROD?
A stainless steel rod will not break or flex. A tighter spring fit to the rod lengthens spring life.
A tungsten rod has all the benefits of the stainless rod and adds extra weight to the front of the gun which reduces muzzle flip and aids in quicker follow up shots.

CAPTIVE OR NON CAPTIVE?
Captive comes with a bushing and screw that makes the rod and spring a one piece fixture like the current stock guide rod assembly.
With Non-Captive, there is no capturing device with this system which makes it very easy to change spring weights and replace springs.

ISMI Recoil Springs
 |
ISMI premium springs are manufactured exclusively with certified aerospace specification alloys; stainless or chrome silicon.
After the springs are wound from pre-hardened stock, they are heat treated, shot peened and stress relieved to enhance performance and durability. ISMI springs utilize the same design and manufacturing technology as Indy Car and Formula One racing suspension springs. In a typical 500 mile race, a valve spring in an Indy Car will go through more than 2,500,000 compression cycles. Consideration of factors such as modulus,
|
 |
wire diameter, mean diameter, active coils, total deflection, spring relaxation, maximum service temperature, and operating environment; results in you having the most modern spring technology available for your pistol.
Because of the properties of music wire (think bronze wound guitar strings); it cannot be heat treated, shot peened and stress relieved after the spring is wound. Additionally, music wire lacks consistency from bulk lot to bulk lot. This results in inconsistent performance from spring to spring. This is the same technology that was in use almost 100 years ago when John Browning designed the 1911 style pistol. Does it work? Yes. Can it be improved on? Yes. Did ISMI dramatically improve on it through the use of modern technology? Absolutely!
The engineers at ISMI believe that springs shouldn't be an ongoing worry or concern for the shooter. Springs should be an annual routine maintenance item. Change them once a year; then go shoot and have fun. |
